I hope they start selling gaming cards based on this.Its been ages since we had any dual gpu cards.
The scaling with multiple GPUs works completely differently between gaming and mining.
Even if they released a card like that as a gaming product it would be utterly pointless as it would get absolutely annihilated by the likes of the GTX 1070.
Anymore that £2.5k and I don't see anyone buying it. You don't have the resale values as your normally would with buying GPUs.
If it was a feasible proposition to port some CUDA code to OpenCL, I'd merrily ask my boss to buy one to test. As it is, though...
Could you not build a machine with 1060/1070s?
It's possible. I need to check if nVidia backed down on their "no consumer cards in racks" thing they added to the T&Cs a while ago.
