    That sucks mate :wallbash:

And people wonder why I'm testing the Phantom prior to completion...

I'd even taken the precaution of having the P67 B3 running on air ghetto style for a couple of weeks prior to placing it in the case :thumb:

After all the grief I had with X58 boards I decided it was prudent to do so this time around :)

I hate to think how many mobo's I've had but this is the 1'st one to be DOA.
I think as it stands the whole project is on hold as of now, untill I get some thing sorted out with it. Part of me just says pull it out and save up for a few weeks for the new Crosshair formula V. I was going to wait for Bulldozer to arrive in September and upgrade then, but it might be a case of do it now and upgrade the CPU when they finally launch.

That's what I was planning if I have the balls to splash some cash. Get a crosshair V and SLI my 460. I might not though, luckily for me- one of my all time favourite boards- the crosshair IV, has plummeted in price.
Hope you get it sorted mate, before you reach the 5000 post mark!

I was going to try and save my 5000th post for the unveiling next week, thats how close I was to being finished, it was a case of a quick shake down to iron out any problems and then Saturday night special was ready to go, looks like it'll have to wait for a few weeks now. :waah::waah:

Thats total ass biscuits :( I've had this on things in the past, and every time one part of you says 'I should of tested this, that would of been sensable', while another says 'This it total BS!!!' and a third part say 'Smash the thing up then firebomb the place you bought it from, I can be to Europe by tomorrow, then to Africa in a couple of days, they'll never find me!!!!' and all you physically say is 'le sigh' with a slump of the shoulders...

And if that madness hasn't cheered you up, maybe this will (never fails to cheer me up :) ):

I took the third option. As I write this I'm just starting a 10 hour train journey across Russia heading for Siberia where I have some ex KGB friends who owe me a few favors...lol

Glad you like it Blarte, hopefully it will be finished soon. While I'm waiting about it'll give me some time to mess about with a few other bits and maybe change some of the lighting .

Sorry to hear about the troubles but as you say it'll give you time to change your mind at least 5 times while you're waiting for the replacement lol

Just one thing though, if you change the lighting for god's sake warn Blarte before he looks at the thread next or he'll think his vision's gone screwy again ;) (glad all went well Dave :))

that stinks about the MB. I've never had one be DOA. That has got to be very frustrating to be so close and then wham, RMA hassle. At least you are getting all of the problems out of the way at once. The rest of your life should be a breeze, right?

She sounds a bit like my mum..lol
frustrating's an understatement. What makes it worse is that everythings so tight so getting it out will be a nightmare, probably a drain down and pull the front rad out.

I thought it would be 95% done now, just finishing touches, as it stands it's ground to a halt.

I'm sure they do it just to wind people up..Some sort of in house joke that only makes them laugh.
