Because similarities between stereotypes of nationality and someones opinions can always be used to accurately categorise people,:duh:

I mean, if stereotypes are valid and you're willing to judge all Americans on a sketch in a newspaper, lets extend the concept.... that Eddie_dane bloke, well, he's a texan isn't he?

Plainly he must wander around his farm all hours of the day, wearing only a pair of shorts and a singlet, with the KKK logo tattooed on his arm, a 12 gauge slung over his back, and uses the confederate flag as a shrine, and something of a holy symbol to be used everywhere possible. Oh, he also likes to say threateningly 'Yall liss'n here. Git off my land Ya scumbaag?' a lot, whilst pointing one of his other shotguns at random people.

But wait, Eddies not a redneck, obviously the stereotype of texans represented in the media is just a load of rubbish, as is that of Americans. So Ubermich disagrees with you guys on political mattters, that plainly makes him the stereotypical American  (which the media portrays as fat, arrogant, overbearing and greedy - does anyone *really* think *all* Americans are like that? Its a pretty big and diverse country at the end of the day.)

Sorry if this comes across as a bit of a rant, just it really gets in my nerves :blah: the whole 'lets stereotype all Americans' and the way people throw a negative media stereotype back at Americans all the time (I have American relatives and I get a bit fed up of the number of comments generalising all Americans as fat, greedy, arrogant, selfish...etc). You couldn't constantly use a negative media stereotype of black people to have a go at someone could you, not without casuing a right fuss? But its alright isn't it, because its the yanks :wallbash:

djengiz, I like how you can make that conclusion from reading about 3 sentences of my writing.

Hrm, maybe things are different up north... down here there are so many idiots I would be scared to think of what would happen if everyone had a say in national policy...
    *cough*anarchy*cough*

You do realize that most human beings strive for this justice and equality, right? I suppose you think that because I'm a republican, I'm also a KKK member...

Of course the HOWS are not specified, I promise you, though, it's not a cheap answer.

Yeah, demilitarize... because THAT worked in the early 20th century...

Did Karl Marx write that part? It's beautiful.

Hrm... adapted socialism? "meaningful work with dignity" though? I think that can be debated. Face it, someone has to pick up trash at the end of the day.
I don't understand how there is a varying "living wage" that is proportionate to work done, a la marxism, yet private businesses are acceptable...

With this coming generation, genders are equal. There will always be some who will discriminate, but for the most part, people believe that a woman can do anything a man can do.

I was following right up until the last line? Animals IN government? Or do they know the REAL truth of Area 51? Seems a bit out of place IMO, either that or the Green Party is even more screwy than I thought.

/me holds up two fingers on my right hand and smokes a joint w/ my left. I give you credit, it's good to dream. But that's all you can do as far as this is concerned. There always has been greed, there always will be greed, and as long as there's greed there will be war, get used to it.

Every party has to answer to the future, this isn't a new concept. You think the founding fathers didn't care about the future? You think they said, "Ah screw it, if they don't like it, they can write another one, just like we did!" hell no.

The democrats and republicans are damn near the same anymore. The difference?
    Republicans: better defenses, lower taxes
    Democrats: less defenses, higher taxes

In all honesty I don't like 90% of the politicians out there. Then out of the remaining 10% I only like 8% of those because they aren't complete idiots. The remaining 2% are the only politicians that are worth what they do.

It seems you have the extreme left/right wingers who don't do anything except destroy our political system. The normal democrat and republican can switch sides on the fly because there really isn't a difference anymore. Then theres a tangent going off in space that holds the general nut cases of the political scene. The nuetrals can't make up their mind.

George Washington thought there shouldn't be political parties, I completely agree with him.

Sorry, meant more/less defenses. More defenses, bigger army, more missles, more military might, etc... Less defenses would be just the opposite.

as has been pointed out, arnold is an immigrant from a poor father in austria, he wanted to become the best bodybuilder in the world, he did it, he wanted to become a powerfull movie star, he did it, i think that he could do political office too. and remember everyone in movies have stuntmen, everyone in politics have stuntmen.

no brain power? arnold is a very competent business man. He hasn't got to where he is now by not using his brains.

i believe that he will do well and has already done so, but i think you have missed it
