    Hey brothers...

1-I study in math this year about some of Quadratic Equations and Functions, Matrices works ( + and X ) and Polynomials And Logarithmic Equations and Exponential.. etc in the same subject...

SO I have the CASIO Scientific Calculator Fx-82ES I can't find a lot of things that I need on it.. I bought it last year now I think It don't help me at all.. SO I was searching I found CASIO Scientific Calculator Fx-991ES I think it's good for that right or not? it have X and y and etc to solve..

2- I wonder how to write this math things on word means that Matrices and Equations and some graphs or etc... How I can do that?

3- in chemistry I have the Monatomic Ions all kinds of Ions, Also Compounds and Oxidation numbers and Double replacement reactions and etc... they kinda have some math.. But I was want to know how to write this shits on word... ?

4- in physics I have some things about Momentum and Impulse motion all kinds ( Rotational , etc..) also all Newton's Laws of motion and of gravity Shits... lol, and a lot of mechanical physics .. so I was want to know also how to write them in Words.. !

Mean the point that I want to know how I can write all this craps ^^ in word and work on them, also I want to know if that Calculator will help me in all this Scientific subjects.. ?

    Thanks so much, CK.

Word 07 has a great equation editor and made my physics coursework look pretty snazzy :thumb:

The Casio FX-991ES is probably the best calculator going for what you need, it got me and many others through A-level maths. Its quadratic and integration functions are great for checking your answer, or when in a pinch to essentially cheat to get to the answer.

so tell me were :D hehe

also how write chemistry things (like Al3 but small 3 and + or -), also the physics rules how to write..

Its on the insert tab, and lets you quickly add sub/superscript characters.

This is so weird... I was talking to my maths teacher about calculators today. I was thinking of getting a Texas Instruments programmable graphing calculator (not sure of the model yet) and he's going to have a look at the specs to see which one would be best (I'm taking maths through to A level, but not further maths, and will porbably need to do a lot of maths in Uni for a physics or chemistry degree).

    You mean Al2+? :D

Pedro, you won't need a graphing calc for A-level, so personally I would have got a scientific one for now then upgrade later if necessary. I'm guessing the scientific would be easier to use for now rather than the graphing calc.

Yeah yeah This is what I want to do in chemistry How you did it I want to write with it in word... Dam nice. !

Graph ones are expinsive I heared they are 100$ USA + This is kinda too too expsive. I think the 991 worth like 15$ - 20$ USA not more than this and like the brother said it's the kickest ass one..

I want to buy one to use it in the last 2 years in high school (Grade 11 + 12) then I will use it in universty if I need it (I will study computer Scince)

So what do you think ?

Subscript and superscript, pretty simple really.

As for the calculator thing, its worth actually learning how to do calculus rather than cheat otherwise when you run into something your calculator cant do youll be completely lost. Besides its not that hard, is very useful and once you understand it quite elegant.

LOOOOOL no you got me wrong.. I will not cheat! it's kinda to make sure that I solve right or some thing i'm not sure of, Of corosue I will save all rules and train very well on my head and mind not on the Calculator, It's 2nd party tool ;)

    You mean this!

Rather than the normal sub/superscript I tend to use the equation editor only, just seems to be neater :p

Yup. Worth the investment though, for a calculator that will last a lifetime.

I realize I won't need it, but I will when I go to university. So by buying it sooner rather than later, I don't have to spend the money on another calculator as well (I actually have an OK one ATM - Casio fx-85MS but it can't do quadratics etc). And I'll have experience of how to use it.

I dont just mean cheat in an exam, I mean if you rely on it too heavily it can let you down.

Having said that, this is a great resource for checking integration.

Yeah, the equation editor is pretty amazing once you get the hang of it. It's pretty easy to get stuff that looks like what you'd find in a textbook. Much better than standard super/subscript.

We all have to have one of those... The manual is well over 100 pages thick and I still don't know it after 2 years...
