Hi, I'm looking for some free software that I can use to capture screenshots in Windows.

I'd like to be able to select an area anywhere on the screen and capture that selection to the clipboard so I can paste the result back to an email or document.

At the moment I have to Print Screen of the entire screen or window then paste the image in to GIMP then select the bit I want and then paste that in to an email.

I don't want to have to register on a site or any of that crap - just some good, simple freeware - and preferably open source - thanks!

I like the Gadwin PrintScreen utility. Comes as both a paid-for "professional" and a free edition.
