I've noticed every night I have my p.c on that if the screensavers active at 00:00 (midnight) the screensaver instantly goes off the second the computer time gets to midnight then just comes back on again as usual after it's set interval to come on comes round again, is this a normal occurrence and if so why does it do it? I've done all the usual spyware checks etc etc and my p.c is 100% clean, it just puzzled me as to why the screensaver goes off at the turn of every new day.
Yeah cos I was sat over on the settee and I've noticed the past 2 nights or maybe more (can't say I've set out to look though) that as soon as the clock strikes midnight that on the p.c the screensaver goes off and you can see the desktop! It then resumes normal operation and bobs ya uncle, just weird I thought.
Don't think so, will have to check but I don't remember scheduling anything? Edit: Just checked and I have nothing in scheduled tasks
Do you leave MSN running? My MSN logs on and off and opens the main window at exactly 00:00 every night.
No I exit MSN all the time, and I don't use it anyway, it just shows the icon everytime I log into Hotmail via Internet Explorer or Firefox but that's all, it annoys me that MSN Messenger runs (or has to run) just because I log into Hotmail though, surely there is a way to disable it from running!? And confusis, I don't think it's the windows time updating at midnight but can't be certain of that, I mean the time was set to automatically synchronize with an internet time server but not at any given time, and nothing for windows time synchronization in scheduled tasks but not sure if that would be in there anyway? I've disabled the auto time sync anyway and will see what happens tonight around the midnight hour
