Modding Scrollwheel from mouse into other mouse?

    Would it be possible to mod a scrollwheel of an old mouse into a 2 button other old mouse?

    Dude I don't think that would work, why don't you just get a cheap scroll mouse?

    It could probably be done. It would take some effort. You would probably have to move the guts of the scrollwheel mouse into the 2-button mouse. And then, what would be the point? Unless you just really like the style of that old 2-button mouse casing. :)

    lol, my cheap scroll mouse I *cough* "lent" from the school, has broken after only half a month of extensive use... cheap-ass school stuff...

    but the scroll wheel still works (lol) so... ;)

    Hey relix...I know this doesn't help you much in Belgium probably, but wouldn't it be easy to get something like this:

    Shoot...for that price I might get me another one so I can cut up the one I got now and have a spare for when I take that next mod just a little too far. :eyebrow:

    It's a 1 day deal. Directron has a deal of the day everyday. The best things I've seen so far were TTGI 350 watt PSUs for $24!

    Sure it could be done :D

    As long as the circuitry wasn't damaged on the wheel mouse anyway...

    Would take some time and maybe a bit of superglue lol

    Still a perfect opportunity to do some :lol: MODDING:lol: ...the wires are probably the same on both, so you'd have to work out where they go and connect the csing wire to the board.
