    OK, Righty ho, being as Vb's spoilers are circumvented by the thread preview thingy I need to write some garb here to pad it out so I don't ruin people's lives with knowledge of the Janitor's name before it is due.

    Blah de blah....

    well the Eighth and final(?) season has come to an end finishing in with a double length episode named My Finale making either 18 or 19 episodes depending on the way you look at it. (Still doesn't make up for the crappy 11 episode season that was Season 7)

    And resume.











    NINJA EDIT!first of all we have to get one thing completely out of the way. The Janitor's name is .....

    So, what did everyone think?

    I think it was done very well and tastefully. It actually felt like the ending it deserved and yet a little like all the walls came crashing down at the same time..

    I very much liked
    the running skit about the penny in the door, and how it was a moral test etc. Kinda still a bit skeptical about the name thing... but then again, it was meant to be left up in the air so no one really knows for sure, especially with that porter calling him Donny or Tommy or some such. Plus at the wedding it sounded like he was being called Scott...

    Another thing that I did really love was
    Dr Cox finally admitting his love as it were for J.D I feel it would have really ruined it if they'd missed that out..

    Anyhoo what y'all think.. Spoiler tags as needed please especially as it's not going to be on UK tv for a ridiculously long time

    How do you think I feel? I didn't even know Season 8 had been going on. Now I have to watch it all before the weekend. (Don't ask why. Call it a Pokémon Complex.)

    When you hover the mouse over the topic in the main thread it tells you the janitors name so you might have to pad the first sentence to move it out the way!

    yeah, i don't think that's really his name any more than donny is his real name. just more janitor BS.

    fantastic ending to an awesome show. The whole
    flash forward thing was really cool. Loved how Cox finally said he thought JD was awesome. However, he has said that before while standing up FOR JD... just never when JD could hear. The book of awesome insults was cool too. :). They even brought back an old story about JD/Turk kids getting married. that was cool as well..
    all in all i loved it!

    Just got through watching it! Was really a very good episode which is really good considering it was the last one.
    Did like the 'sneak moving in' sub story.

    Wow, that was an amazing episode, and if it is the final episode ever, thank you ABC for picking up the show and finishing it PROPERLY, something NBC were unwilling to do - and even screwed up the ending of season 7 by showing episodes out of order.

    The Janitor's name is not
    Glenn Matthews
    . We'll probably never know his real name, and I hope it stays that way. :p

    I didn't cry, but I laughed so hard my eyes became moist :p

    The janitors name is Neil Flyn. He was in that film with Han Solo.

    If you watch carefully the scene where janitor says his name is
    Glen Matthews
    a split second later a guy walks by gives him a high five says what i heard to be
    ha ha made you look, jk. Says it's Tony
    so that is a possibility.

    all in all it's wasn't a bad ending but there have been much funnier episodes.

    shame it ended. great show. love the flash-forward, IMHO all TV shows should end with a flash-forward.
