Im running Win2k Pro on my server (which is basically a downloading PC, and hosting films, etc) and have a SCSI DAT Drive, and a SCSI card in it. As well as a RAID card, nic, and graphics card.

I have installed the drivers for the SCSI card, and connected the DAT drive, which shows up in Device Manager as somethingorother (i forget the exact name, but i know its the DAT Drive)

However, i didn't know what to expect - having never used DAT before. I presumed it'd show up in windows explorer as a drive, but it hasnt. I tried running MSBackup to see if it was available in there, no luck.

Have i missed something out or am i just being silly ??

If it has the correct driver, then msbackup should you you the drive, r at least give you the option of backing up to it. You may need to insert and format (via backup) a tape first though.
