    Hi fellas,

Just bought a Scythe Himuro HDD internal enclosure/cooler and a Samsung Spinpoint F3 for my build, and got a quick question about cooling. Basically the drive has a number of small holes in it with a warning not to cover them, which the Himuro obviously will.

Think I should ditch the cooler? I mean those holes are probably in there for cooling anyway, which should be taken care of. I just don't want to brick my new drive!

    Thanks!

I shouldnt worry about the holes , the Himuro isnt airtight so it wont hurt it .
On the subject of quietening a Samsung hdd try the samsung Estool so you can set the drive to either fast normal or quiet settings to better suit your needs .

    Thankyou

    Thanks!

Will look into Estool. Haven't had one of these before so not sure what to expect in terms of noise, but thanks for pointing it out!
