Oh, the sketch is coming along but I just ordered 2 of these. They will be used for this mod and hopefully everything comes together nicely with the arduino interface...
as soon as i get my funds released (long story) I will be able to pay for this so that I can use it as an interactive power button and among other things yet to be finalized and implemented/tested...
I have been thinking about the name and how the project design is going and it is slowly starting to look a bit like the HALO universe and now I am having thoughts to keeping the goal the same but in the name of the Halo Universe, what do you guys think? will it stick to the projects main objective as a folding machine?? I am a die hard fan of Halo but (me being brown (cheap) and all) I have my 360 in peices for modding and too cheap to buy XBlive, but love Halo too much so could I dedicate this mod to Halo? any input is appreciated...
ok, I am officially chaning the name of of this project to either "Se7enth Column" or "Septagon"... I will set up a seperate poll on which one of the above 2 names you guys like... thankx for your support guys...
I just got the shipment of these and I also ordered 3 sanguinos plus their usb to TTL adapters, also I am exploring ways to monitor temps of HDDs with thermistors, all I have to do is figure out what value of the thermistors I need to get and how to calculate the temps detected by them...Aswell I am looking for cheap servos with enough torque and Steppers for my RepStrap/CNC project to help me build this case... *** edit *** Here are the pics of the capacitance buttons: Enjoy...
Getting some goodies soon!!! Hey guys, I just ordered the following and expect to pick it up this Friday!!! Logitech Z-4i speakers for integration into the case
Special SURPRISE!!! I just took apart my 360 to be "officially" integrated into this case which will scream halo all over!!!
Guess what guys!!! I skipped the Logitech Z-4i speakers and went for the Logitech's flagship speakers: The Z-5500 this is a picture of whats inside the box, notice the box with the 2 holes? thats where the 5 satellite speakers are and the 2 foam packings next to the box is how big the SUB actually is ... test video coming soon...
Nov 27 2009, This mod has been on the least priority because of University taking precedence. But don't think that I have forgotten about the project. I may have been a bit jumpy about the 4 mobo case and its a little out of my price range so I am going to start small and just design a case to fit an XL-ATX formfactor so that any form factor mobo can fit. I have been busy away coding the app that controls everything from lights to actually turning on the computer so stay tuned for more hardware goodies to show up and magically assemble themselves to become the new front panel...
