My one issue with Canada. They don't sell mostly Hershy "chocolate" so I'm still tempted by Cadburys. Dicks.
My bus was 40 minutes late this morning because of a little bit of hail in the morning. God help us if it gets any worse...
Winter is a season of extreme smugness for me. Why, cos I work from home. Ok that makes me seem like a dick but hey I get paid peanuts so that balances it out.
So far here in Ontario, the weather is very mild. The last few years we were lucky to have any snow at Christmas, it all comes in January and February! Apparently we are supposed to have a really cold winter though, which is both good and bad. Good because we can actually get some outdoor rinks set up, bad because no one likes the cold or shoveling snow! Would also be nice to have a LITTLE bit of snow on Christmas. Last year was the first Christmas without any snow if I recall correctly and it just seemed odd. Also amusing is how I associate snow with Christmas, because when I watch tv shows and people are in places where they don't get snow during Christmas, it just seems very odd.
.........can't think of what to add to this thread. Don't have a Suburu so I can't shout about that...it's winter.. yes it's cold heating is expensive and it's bloody Christmas soon. 'Cheer up it's Christmas!' No it's just a day you have called Christmas any day can be Christmas unless you believe in all that religious fairy land bull....i'll just get as drunk as I can best way of getting through all this madness.
The thing I hate about the snow is, I live the furthest away at work and all too often I'm the only one that turns up...
From years of discussions in English... well UK car forums, I thought you guys simply don't "believe" in snow tyres? I live on the edge of the Ore Mountains, if I could only afford one set of tyres, they'd be winter tyres I thought Canadians have the "LCD Shovel Full HD"?
Haha, speaking of us not having any snow, here just outside of Toronto we've had some super light flurries. Not enough to really cover anything in snow, but I'd imagine we'll have snow on Christmas. Last year we had NOTHING until after Christmas. I do have a snow blower but have no clue how to actually start it. My brother normally does that while I do the walkways and such with a shovel. We have a bunch of older people in our neighbourhood so whenever we need to shovel we're doing a minimum of 2 driveways, ours and one of the two neighbours. If we see any of the other older people we'll just take over and finish for them, so on a "bad day" we'll end up doing 4-5 driveways, sometimes twice in one day!
If you live in a suburbia situation and have the time, I think it's very nice of you though! If (when) I do my driveway, I need to get to work so forget about the neighbours
Last year the new neighbour a few houses down gave us a 12 pack of beer for shoveling her driveway. We were just trying to be friendly, but I wasn't complaining about free beer!

WTB warmer weather. Need to start my diet and running again, sadly I'm "too soft" to run out in the cold!
Now I know what you're thinking... 'which idiot bumped this in may??!?' . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . wait for it . . . .. . . woke up to this view of the back yard
