Apparently the owner was thinking about getting a Beat or an AZ-1. He also has another NSZ and a Hawk Stratos apparently.

Always see loads of nice cars in Leeds, but two that stood out recently were an orange Lamborghini Aventador and a white Lotus Evora.

    Didn't take pics though :/

One of my favourite spots recently I didn't take a photo of. It was a Renault 5 Campus with all the gubbins from the GT Turbo edition including OEM rust.

V.Good to see that there are still some council folk out there with a taste for something that isn't a Citroen Saxo or a E36 3 series BMW.

Also I laughed so hard I almost cried - whilst pointing.

Not spotted a Tesla, but oddly enough did spot a Fisker Karma over in Amsterdam a while back.
Must be something about the place.

There are two Tesla S-s (AT LEAST) driving around in my home city, a city with 35.000 people..
stupid Norwegian tax system, the 85KWh version of the Tesla S costs the same as a new BMW 318 diesel, not fully speced....

AND ferries, annual tax, toll roads etc is less than half, AND parking is free, some of the parking spots even has free charging sockets....

Edit: A friend just mentioned that one of the nearby towns has 3 Teslas, and 7000 people live there

I saw the Aventador but didn't see the Evora :(

I had a trip to t' big smoke (London) today and saw some interesting stuff. No pics though...

Aston Martin DB9; 9 cars on diplomatic plates, 7 of them parked outside the Foreign Office; the duck (obviously) and a brand spanking new (63 plate) Porsche Panamera.

Normally there's 3 Jaguar XF's parked outside the FCO. Not today though, sadly.

I often see a white Evora on the way home from work. Saw a murdered out Porsche Panamera Turbo yesterday. Satin black wrapped with everything (that could be) blacked out, evil looking ####er.

I live near Sandbanks so Porsches are like Fiestas down here.

Saw a lovely 80s Ferrari mind (well heard it first) the other day.

I think that's a deDion Bouton, not the one from Beaulieu though. Good spot!

I saw a rather lovely Exige S2 today, but he disappeared too quickly for me to get a snap. :(

A parent of one of our pupils has what I believe to be a gunmetal grey V8 Vantage. I saw it for the first time this morning as I was parking. It looked and sounded amazing!

Best Aston by far, lovely car! Makes me wonder why I never went to gawp at the dealership while I was in school, it was only a 5-minute walk away.

A nice car, to be sure, but the best Aston? That's a big claim! :p

    *modern Aston

Unless Uni is talking about the original, in which case, even more lovely, but not the best.

Even amongst the moderns it's 4th imo - V12V, One-77, DB9 (before they chavved it with clear lights). The V8V is gorgeous, and if I had 30k to spend on a car I'd be buying one tomorrow.

The one-77 is a bit marmite; probably the motoring equivalent of Billie Piper. I used to think it was styled like a complete pig but then I saw one in the flesh and now I'm not so sure. The other two are serious contenders, but then they can be a bit bland.

One-77 could look like a rotted horse, given it has a 750hp V12 in the middle. :D

V12V and DB9 are both some of the best designs of the last decade imo - the V12 because of its brute and ingenuity for getting that V12 to fit where a V8 is supposed to live, the DB9 for its timeless looks. All imo of course. :)

Anyway, I'm so excited I've got to put some pictures together now...

I am not sure about the One-77, TBH.
Of course, I have only ever seen 3 Astons (one DB9, one V8 and what I believe to be a DB9 Volante), so i am not entirely able to judge. Pictures often don't do these cars justice.

But, there's a certain charm in the V8 Vantage that I adore. If I had the moolah, I'd WANT a V8V Roadster (but only if I can't have a Maserati GranCabrio).

It's definitely the nicest thing I've seen or heard on the road in a long time. If I was ever buying something beyond a luxury saloon it would be very hard for me to decide between the V8 Vantage and an R8 V10. Owning either is wishful thinking

On a completely unrelated note, I encountered a complete ****** driving a white Mazda 6 Sport this morning. I followed him at a safe distance between 60 and 70 on both B roads and motorway for about 6 miles - I say follow, but obviously we were going in the same direction. Anyway, he cut me off and overtook me at the top of the motorway off-ramp and almost took the front corner off my car, then another few miles later, braked suddenly from 60 mph to about 30, turned into a junction then put on his indicator. The road he turned into forks off and down from the main road I was still on, and as I looked across through my passenger window, I clearly saw him giving me the fingers through his driver's window.

    ******s. There's one everywhere :grr:
