Something I've found puts the shits up people is stopping (If safe to do so), and following them after they do that. Not driving aggressively or returning the gesture, just following, stopping when they do, they look like they're about to cack themselves to death when you get out of the car. Might just be because I'm a lumbering behemoth, but I should imagine the results are similar for most people.

If you have time, that is.

I thought about it, but I really didn't have time on that particular morning and honestly, I couldn't have been bothered anyway. He'll write some poor sod off with his dangerous driving some day and lose his license. What goes around comes around and all that.

I was once approached in a threatening manner at the car window just after parking (at a Tesco, of all places >.<). Some douchébag thought I'd done something wrong driving into the car park and had come over to have a "chat" with me about it. Instead of putting my window down once he'd rapped it as hard as he could, I started the engine again, pulled a reverse U-Turn forcing him to get out of my way, drove to the other side of the structure and parked up. He walked past me in the store 10 minutes later and never even made eye contact.

Everyone's a tough guy when you're sitting in a vulnerable position in your car. When you're beside them and clearly have a stone weight and several inches on them, it's a different story. I haven't swung for anyone in a long time but it didn't end well for either of us the last time I did, so I make a point of avoiding all confrontation

that's the FIRST pic I've seen that shows how small they really are. They normally look quite big.

not seen on the road, but in my driveway:

Reason for me posting this (beside a love affair that the wife-to-be should be jealous of, but can relate to after driving it herself - now she wants one too) is that I discovered that the car has power folding mirrors (something that Subaru lists as a feature, and Toyota here doesn't even mention). So I used them, and realised that unlike most cars (that seem to look "sleepy" when they fold the mirrors in), this car just looks like an angry kitten then... :D

I didn't have my phone or camera with me as i was busy working, but a Prototype Rolls Royce Wraith came into work today. Stunning with a capital S, and silent too as it was driven away.

I saw an awful lot of great cars down at the PistonHeads Sunday Service at Rolls Royce yesterday.

    There was everything from a Ferrari F458, F430, 2x AM V12 Vantages, 3x AM V8 Vantages (one Volante), 1x AM DBS, 2x Noble M12's, a Lamborghini Murcielago, 2x 997 GT3s, 1x 996 GT3, 1x 997 GT3 RS 3.8, 1974 Carerra RS 2.7, E28 M5, Shelby GT 350, Ford GT and a few others.

Oh, and the Wrath is an absolute monster.

    A rolls Phantom.

It's the ONLY one in the country, and it has Namibian plates. Also - I saw it right outside my office parking lot.

Only saw it drive past while taking a jog, so I wasn't quick enough with the camera/phone. All the same, I saw an A45 AMG.
Again - it's the only one in the country, and OMG - that wing is hideous.

Update on this; I've seen it around town a few more times since posting, and also (completely by accident, seriously!) stumbled across the owner's Facebook page, and can conform that it's a V8 Vantage S :)

    Epic car - it's the epitome of a licence-loser.

The noise when you put your foot down... it's like it is egging you on to press the loud pedal even harder. I've been in one being driven hard round A/B roads and it was a barrel of fun - even in the passenger seat.

There's something to be said for the titilation from having all that power and noise at your beck-and-call (not that I've ever driven anything powerful). Teasing the throttle and getting a response is one of the great joys of motoring.

    ....I think I need a cigarette.

On my way home from work yesterday, about 4 miles from home on a small country road, I saw only my second one of these ever:

[obvious statement]Image shamelessly stolen from Bent :p[/obvious statement]

It was being driven by a dark haired woman, probably in her forties. It was the same colour as Bent's too, and having seen a white one in the paint now, I 100% agree with your statement about the shimmering pearl - it's stunning! Seeing it just gave me Even. Moar. Want.

That white pearl rocks SO hard, and is SO hard to capture in photos.

Seen on the road, but not necessarily very cool: It seem that a whole truck full of Golf Mk7's landed. I have seen 3 GTIs in the last 24 hours... those tail lights light up in an interesting way...

If I wasn't so madly obsessed with the GT4 I'd be after a GT86 with that Litchfield performance pack instead. I've gotta get the GT4 out of my system though!

The Litchfield (or rather the Milltek exhausts) are on my list.

If you want crazy, though - look at this. Sure, it's got slicks, it's pretty hardcore, and to get that weight saving (~200-250kg), they used Dry Carbon made by the same factory that made the Toyota F1 cars for the hood, doors, roof and trunk.

Either way - with MINOR engine changes (well, Titianium headers and straight exhausts - expensive, but for no other changes, that's impressive), this thing beats 458's around Tsukuba.

Even with headers and exhausts, that's a max of 200whp.

The platform is insanely competent, and that's what Toyota/Subaru wanted to achieve.
