Audi R8 backwards into the trees on the northbound M23 this afternoon. My guess would be aquaplaning due to lack of damage or other vehicles.

I've seen that solar car before! Your location proves it, you're part of DUSC.

Yep! Although the team is now called DUEM (merge with Formula Student to become Electric Motorsport).

Which version gave it away, the old array or the new chassis?

The old array. Did my final year project on the car.

Was stuck behind this for about an hour the other day. One of the ugliest cars I've ever seen. What would posses someone to purchase it is beyond me.

Is it me or do the wheels look way too small compared to the rest of the car? And it is still an improvement on the fugliest car ever made [imo]... the Chrysler PT Cruiser...

Whilst not 'cool' unless you're into that kinda thing... I saw Nissan Leaf actually moving, I honestly thought they only had 2 modes, 'charging' and 'on fire'...

I'll see your PT Cruiser, and raise you a Fiat Multipla:-

These are the words of someone who has yet to behold the splendour of a Ssang Yong Rodius...

Sunday morning in the Tesco car park - no way was I risking the lens of my phone. That thing rivals the Nissan Joke for fugliness.

Maybe we should start a "Seen any mingers on the road lately?" thread.

The multipla was ugly as sin, but I maintain it is hands down one of the most practical and comfortable people carriers I've ever been in.

Yes the Rodius and Multipla are bad, however I reserve a special loathing for the PT Cruiser...

And the Nissan Joke/Puke and QashCow aren't that bad, though given the Nissan factory is just down the road it could be Stockholm Syndrome as there are a lot of them on the roads up here.

I know someone who bought a PT Cruiser when they first launched, proclaiming it would become an instant classic and the residual values would be huge. :duh:
That sounds like a war of attrition has been successfully waged against your sense of taste. The Bast@rds have ground you down!

There is of course the Juke R:

Slightly improved by having the engine and running gear from the GTR shoved underneath...

Not seen one of these although I have seen the odd Nismo version which does go some way to improving the looks a little.

I do have to agree on the Multipla for hideous ugliness though, practical or not, I have to wonder about the sanity of whoever signed that one off.

To be fair to people carriers - There's not really a way to get them to look "good". Even my favourite, the Ford B-Max, looks like a dogs breakfast after it's been eaten twice.

    I'm also quite partial to hating the Citroen Cactus;

I always see them in that ****-ugly lime green though, which doesn't help their case.

We have a Mini Countryman (Cooper S AWD of course) that is up for possible replacement anytime in the next few months and my wife commented that the Cactus looked like it could be fun, she nearly walked home... from Matlock...

If I had a wife and she suggested the cactus, she might have been looking for a new husband, let alone walking home from wherever she said it.

I drove a cactus, its not actually that bad quite open inside as well. Just the name and stupid panels baffle me. Otherwise I'd be tempted by one.

Out on the push bike yesterday saw a black 430 followed by an black 258. They sounded very nice!
