Motors Seen anything cool on the road lately?

Saw a Reventon in the flesh on wednesday in a show room. 1 million was the asking price. Pretty hawt though.

 

Saw a Countach. It's still probably slower than any Sports car today, but my god was it beautiful.

It was in purple too.

 

Ditto, saw one in black today - just like the Burago model I got about 10 years ago... stunning car. Only the third time I've ever seen one - once by some dodgy looking lock-up garages, once in a museum and now on the Edinburgh ring road.

 

Not really on the road but went to a kit car show yesterday saw some interesting kits, though most of the same caterham/atom shape.

Saw this in the back of a lambo kit car;

A bmw v12...with four turbos :|

And this is what was next to it;

 

A completely flat, but otherwise intact Badger. On the M4 it was.

 

I like to see a nice badger

 

Saw a Delorean yesterday, was not in the best condition but definitely still a sweet car. And an R8 the other night. Apparently my sisters " friend " owns that one ( This " friend " being a massive a****** )

 

Oooh yeah I forgot that I saw one outside one of the campsites in Le Mans a few weeks ago.. very nice. Also saw my first Veyron too, in the drivers parade.

 

I saw a Ford Mustang Mach 1 the other day. Looked like a '72 model, couldn't be sure.

 

Great photo, stonedsurd! It looks like it's hunkering down on it's rear suspension, ready to hurl itself between the stoplights...

What's actually happened is there's something heavy in the boot, no doubt. Seen several F430s recently, and an original 246 Dino being polished outside the owner's house.

 

Thought i heard a motorbike in town the other day, turned around to see a Lambo LP-640, with his wings/ air intakes up. Such a glorious car!

 

I saw a 250 California on the road today as well, but I was in a moving bus, so no pictures.

It looks very nice in the flesh, if a little small.

 

There's a '72 Mustang around here weirdly, don't think it's a Mach 1 but it has the same body as that. It's a long way from home.

 

Well, not strictly speaking "on the road", but in a showroom. These things are by FAR not everyday here, and this car is not all that common... yet...

Saw one of those it paris, along with a matt purple lambo lp640, a bright red bmw x6, a matt black slk 350, and a ferrari california...all on saudi plates!

 

They're STUNNING!

 

They have a nice big footprint, low center of gravity, weigh about 1400kg, will hit 60mph in under 5 seconds, and a top speed over 180 mph. I'd say only the best of the best sports cars can keep up, and only the best of the best looking sports cars look sexier!

And Stickeh, got any more pics of that countach kit car with the bmw v12?

 

I just found out some maintenance pricing on that (the car iteself being almost affordable for the rich - about half the price of, say, a Lambo/Ferrari/Aston around here (mainly because we actually have a Merc dealership)):

List price of the care: 2.4Million
To put that into Perspecitve, the C63 AMG is about 770K, and an S65 AMG is just between 1.2 and 1.6 million.

Want the SLS in Silver? That'll be an additional 140K please.
White? 50K
Sports Pack? 150K

and then the fun bit:
Carbon ceramic brake kit (pads and discs) Front only: 90K. OUCH!

 

Saw a white SLS AMG with UAE plates being unloaded from a van in Mayfair, then another blue/grey in Hollands Park.
