    Oh... hell :(

The display problem is because previous Opera versions had a bug in its rendering that didn't make "position: relative" work the way it was intended in my esoteric setup. It's fixed in Opera 9.5. If you disable the hacks by setting "Mask as Firefox" in F12 > Edit Site Preferences... -> Network, at least it shows correctly again.

A bigger problem is that Opera apparantly unloads the SWFs the moment they disappear again. This causes the "Loading..." to be displayed after you took a snap, saved it, and went back to the webcam. The "Loading..." never goes away though since Seenly's Javascript already knew the SWFs were loaded (the first time around), and didn't care to re-initialize some things. That's not the only thing that's wrong with that: you'll have to click "Allow" again, and it has to search for webcams again. I really hope Opera acknowledges this as a bug! Microsoft and Firefox both have different ways of "hiding but not unloading" the SWF (which I had to painstakingly find out using many hours of debugging), but neither work with Opera 9.5.

Next, because of the loading/unloading the dreadful "Click to activate"-text pops up again. Have to find another workaround for that too.

I can't do anything right now because I'm in the middle of finals, so it's gonna be at least another week or two before I can start fixing things.

Dammit Opera, why are you doing this to me :'(

    Thread on my.opera.com.

Yeah quack, it's as much fun as stabbing yourself in the eyes with a knitting needle previously owned by Astrum. :waah:

I talked on the Opera irc channel and one of the devvers told me right away to file a bug report. Apparantly regression bugs like that are highest priority and it should be sorted out before 9.5 goes final. Needless to say I filed a detailed bugreport and emailed them some more insights in my code afterwards.

I seriously hope they can fix it. I don't know what I'm going to do if they don't: spend potentially hours (again) on a problem that might be unfixable in the first place and on top of that, risk that it breaks again in a next release; or just leave it as it is and lose the 1% of visitors that are/will be using Opera 9.5...

Or... just write some javascript to tell opera users to get a decent browser or bugger off.

Isn't this only a problem with 9.5 though, which isn't final?
I have no problems on 9.23

    Yes, it's a problem with 9.5 only, see quack's original post ;)

That's why I, too, hope they fix it.
