    after playing the latest Yakuza titles which basically did what Shenmue did but loads better something tells me these remasters can only ruin the memory for Shenmue.

    Loved playing Shenmue on the Sega Dreamcast and Xbox. Always wished for the third installment to the story. So now with the announcements of remastered versions, I can't wait to replay the story. :)

    Agreed, the first Yakuza was essentially following the same gameplay and control style as modern games so there was very little risk in remastering it, but that doesn't apply to Shenmue which is downright archaic in comparison and while that doesn't necessarily make Shenmue a bad game it does massively increase the risks associated with remastering it.
