Does anyone else see the parallel between Wil wanting to ride a Segway, and him being in San Francisco, the gay capital of America? :hip:

Actually, you know you want a go just as much as I do... there should be Segway Jousting at Quakecon!!!

If I'm not mistaken I do believe I saw a group riding around the other day in SF. I couldn't figure out what was going on. It isn't every day that you see a group of Segways going around the wharf. I guess this explains it...

I couldn't see them very well, but I'm pretty sure I saw the bright green glow. :hehe:

Steve Wozniak (original co-founder of Apple) owns like half a dozen segways. He's a big fan of segway polo iirc.
Perhaps you didn't read the article? ;)

  11. Lol, I'd love to have a go on one but 1) Not in public 2) Not wearing a helmet 3) Not wearing a 'hey look at me, I'm a pratt' flourescent jacket!!

I hate Segways. Seriously, how lazy do you have to be to say "You know, walking is far too much effort to get around. I think I'll buy an ugly overpriced scooter to haul my fat butt around and eliminate the little bit of exercise left in my life! Huzzah!" (And yes, I know not all Segway riders are fat, but they need doctor's authorization to use the "too fat to walk" wheelchair/scooter things.)

Segways are the embodiment of having too much money and nothing good to spend it on. It's the transportation equivalent of wearing a visor.

here's an idea, take the money you would unload on a segway and invesnt in a recumbent bike. Firstly they are more comfortable, and also they a bike so it helps with exercise :)
