Look, I know it's an old story, but you can get a nerf longshot for $50 in LA, and that's considered an expensive toy. $50 is currently about UK£31.50. Price of the same item here? Well over £60. Nothing more to say, really, is there.
An apples-to-oranges conversion doesn't work. You're forgetting about transport cost, import duties and VAT. Even so UK prices are inflated. Sad fact of life.
You should be used to it now conversions from USD to GBP seem to be 1:1 completely ignoring the exchange rates. Considering the general trend $50 -> £31.50 is quite a bargin.
The toy doesn't sell for 31 pounds, it sells for over 60, the 31 pounds is the current exchange rate for 50USD
Second hand? Thrift stores, charity stores, eBay.UK? I have tons of nerf guns. Even found 2 chain guns for $5 ea. at a Goodwill store. john
I know jack all about Nerf Guns so after reading this thread I went and had a look at Ebay and all I can say is that Steampunk is everywhere. The guy auctioning it claims that Personally I think its just been spray painted copper (Badly) but as I said I know nothing about Nerf Guns but you are right for what is basically a toy gun they do seem flaming expensive.
if i could get a job around these damn times(yes im trying to get one( no, no one is hiring)) id buy everyone here a longshot for the hell of it
I was lurking over at www.instructables.com when I saw a nerf gun mod and remembered this thread so I thought it Post it here anyways here it is Link
yeah, but do you intend modding it so that its more powerful and so that it fires 500 darts a minute if so Piccies
