    does anyone know where i can get the manual for windows server 2003 and nt4 server please?

    couldn't find them on microsoft.com

    With the retail packaged software? :D

    Probably best to just buy a fat handbook imo.

    pdfs should be on MSDN

    MS are also doing the 45 day trial dvd atm, it should be in electronic format on there.

    I’m thinking of getting server 2003 but I want to see what it can do first hence the manual I want.

    Does the web addition come with serving software?

    I beleive the only differences are it cant b a domain controller so therefore cannot b used for active directry/group policy, stuff like that and it cant deploy certain things like SQL.

    at work we were building a test server for a client and slapped what we thought was 2003 on a box from our action pack subscription (all MS titles in a big folder for cheep) and accidentally put on the web edition. There are quite a few things it doesnt do. No domain controling. A max of 2 gigs of ram as apposed to 4 in full 2003. Cant use it to deploy anything to clients. Cant do anything with domain policies. It is purely an XP box with the 2003 system files. However it has TS as apposed to Remote Desktop. So you will need to go for full 2003 server.
