Windows Server 2012 R2 update question for licensed Server 2012 systems

    Will Windows Server 2012 R2 be offered as an update to existing licensed Server 2012 systems as Windows 8.1 has been for W8 users? :)

    Unfortunately not from my understanding, unless you have a volume license with Software Assurance you will need to purchase the new OS. (on a personal note, I wouldn't trust an in place upgrade either, fresh build or no build)
