well last summer i converted my old case into something i little more special.

The case is actually the love child between a Cheiftec Dragon and a Antec AMG1000 Plus

    Before

    After

    internal

    System spec

    DFI UT NF3 Ultra-D
AMD 3700+ (might upgrade to my Opty 165 was in my DFI NF4 SLI-DR)
    2GB DDR4000
    7600GS

it will get four 1TB samsung F1's i think, maybe WD green series?

Also need a few more 80mm fans (black ones)

should be good in the end!

will mainly serve as a HTPC and backup server.

na the HSF is blowing hot air on the back of the 7600GS, but there is no other option to mount it. I have had this system clocked up to 2.8GHz on air blowing on the back of a heavily overclocked 6800GT and had no problems.

I think the opty 165 will drop in, and will be at stock speeds and undervolted just to reduce the power consumption and stress on the machine considering it has to be stable 24/7/52!

i just need to save up the cash for the new HDD's then i can get it finished! :thumb:

why not fabricate like an exhaust pipe thatgoes from the CPU cooler towards the exhaust fans?

don't know how you'd go about doing it, but just a random idea:p

there isn't enough room really to do that, and as i said its not a problem, plus the window mounted 120mm fans will help keep things cool, i havent actual used them before as they were added when the case was painted yellow. they weren't needed but i wanted them! :D

i am thinking about a RAID control card, and a PCI wireless card, but only when i have got the HDD's

    Question

i have been looking at the pic's i posted, and what with the window in the side panel, can anyone suggest a decent colour for internal lighting?

the motherboard is UV sensitive, but the fans will block most the view, so a flood light effect would be best.

i would say green since it contrasts nicely, or white as it would look really nice also. But you could also go with red to make it pop a bit. It's really personal preference

Yellow, because it's different and you don't see it done often.

I think the yellow lights with the yellow case would make it a bit overdone, i know its a theme and all but it just will kinda blend in, and yea...

iv got some old blue cold cathodes lieing around here somewhere, there blue but in bright light they look a little white, so i shall have a look, if i think white looks good then a set of white cathodes go on my shopping list! :thumb:

i do like the idea of white lighting.

Any other ideas you think this case needs? how would you suggest hooking this up to an amp? i need to check what inputs the amp has first buts its at my girl friends place in nottingham and well i am at the family home for another 3 weeks before i go back to nottingham.
