The Muppets are all hand dolls who work just for the person who's controlling them, just like a pc?

Every thing in my place is named after simpson characters,
for example my main rig is Homer, and my housemates is Marge

OK I'm starting to get a naming system together, need some more ideas.
The names I have so far are:
Tranquility-this is either going to be my main rig, or my server, because they are quiet and calm etc
Singularity-Test box, because it is never fully working, and is unpredictable.
Echo-can't decide what to use this on yet
Satellite-This was going to be for the PC out in the garage (as it is kind of away from the main house), but could work equally well for laptops on wifi.

I need to name: Main rig, test box, server, xbox, 3 laptops, 2 wifi PDAs, and an old rig in the garage.

    Any more ideas?

I guess you could name them after celestial bodies.

There's only 8 left in the system though!

Use something which relates to the computer and your hobbies.

So if you like military stuff, your terminals could be infantry, divided into divisions.

The server would be the general.

Backup would be your airforce and so on.

Why wouldn't you call "backup" your "reserves" ?

If you go by celestial bodies you could have things like calling a workgroup server jupiter and calling all that workgroup's computers after the moons of jupiter.

Don't forget other stars and their planets also :p
