i have a few questions about several things, i dont have much knowledge about computer related stuff so please be patient. 1. what is a RMA? 2. sometimes i have a rare problem with my USB keyboard that it stops responding for a few seconds then turns back on and when it turns on windows 7 does the sound of when a usb device connects. the last time it happened though, when it turned back on, there was no sound, and the light next to the caps lock and num lock lights didnt turn back on, and a flash browser game i was playing at the time havent responded at all to the keyboard input untill i restarted my computer. do i need to be worried? 3. how much power do i need for a computer setup of radeon HD 6850 graphic card, intel core i5 2400, motherboard of ga-h67mu-d2h-b3, Ram of 2 kingston ddr3 2gb 1333mhz or possibly 1 kingston ddr3 4gb 1333mhz instead, western digital 500gb 16mb cache sata3, cpu fan scythe katana 3 and case fan scythe 120mm slip stream 1200rpm?
let me google that for you 2. sounds like either a driver problem or faulty USB controller although have you tried another USB device in the same slot ? things to try - change the USB slot same effect ? change the k/b ? install the latest chipset drivers for you motherboard 3. power wise 500-650W will be perfectly fine for that something like the Corsair, be quiet, antec models are good choices. A Also - RAM configuration should be 2x2GB or 2x1GB or 2x4GB to make sure dual channel works. The sweet spot at the minute is 4GB of DDR3 1600mhz (Corsair XMS3) as 1333mhz is marginally cheaper but performance worse and anything higher provides little benefit relative to cost. If you need help on the PC spec post it up and everyone will help out to get you the best PC for your budget
1. got 100 different results for RMA but found the right one. 2. tried to connect my MP3 player, but havent had any more keyboard problems since the last one which was around a week ago. and k/b? 3. thanks for the answer, il get seasonic 620watt s12ii-620 bronze. cant find a good corsair or antec though. what i posted is the PC spec im probably going to buy though. also where can i find the model names on the case, PSU, etc parts of my 5 years old PC? thinking or reusing some of the parts for new PC.
1. lol 2. adam_bagpuss is right, reinstall chipset drivers, test in other USB port & other KB. 3. Check NewEgg PSU Calc and/or Other PSU Calc. 500W+ should be sufficient, I personally like Corsair, solid stuff.
