    Hi guys,

Recently decided i should look into a decent pair of gaming headphones (and a new mouse since mine died but thats a different story)

The highest end pair of headphones i've had must have been a set of skullcandy TI's of which 3 broke. I later made my own headphones which sound much better but are far from comfortable..

the two that have caught my eye are the Sharkoon x-tatic SP plus and the Sharkoon X-tatic S7

Yes, they are probably completely in different leagues. My main concern is the strength of them. Ive had a few sets of headphones break on me (all of them at the point where you can extend the ear pieces)

Also, Is 7.1 audio better or gaming. Is there that much of a difference between 7.1 and stereo on headphones? Is it worth almost double the price?

If i opt for the S7, will i notice the difference between analog and running through the optical input?

Lastly, yes these will be used for movies, music and other audio tasks

    Thanks!
