Found it slightly boring tbh, I was expecting much more from it. There were some amusing parts of it, but nothing special imho. It tried to be too funny in some places and too serious in others.

I have now officially given up attempting to see this film properly in the cinema. What is it with complete ******s ruining films for me :grr:

The first time I went to see it, I had to stand around waiting for my boyfriend for so long that there were only 2 seats available. At the extreme front-left of the cinema. So we saw nothing. Or rather, we got headaches from seeing the left hand side waaaaay bigger than the right, and not being able to see everything that was happening at once.

So... we went to see it again last night. Got good seats, at the back, in the middle. Only for some total ****s to spend 90% of the film shouting stuff at each other in a language I can only describe as "rude boy", smoking joints, phoning people on their mobiles, throwing stuff at other people, etc... then about 20 minutes before the end, they left shouting about how rubbish the film was! Why stay that long then? They squealed with disgust at any hint of gore.
BTW: This was the same screen we were at when we had loads of idiots shouting all through LOTR:ROTK....

People like that disgust me :grr: Films are an important part of my life and those people have no respect. I guess it would help if Reading had more than one cinema. They closed down the others to build flats :duh:

Ooh mookboy, can I use that icon for my LJ's SotD posts? :)

Saw the movie on Friday and it totally rocked! I'm not a fan of british movies but this one I was very very funny and good. Great acting and and a classy story with belivable charectors in rediculous situations.

That's the Showcase, it's in Winnersh Triangle, not Reading (sorry, feeling pedantic). The Showcase is even worse though, all the Winnersh kids go there *shudders*

I do actually live closer to the Showcase one, but having said that, I live nearer to the UCI in Bracknell than I do the Vue in Reading :eeek:

I'm not sure where the other cinema in Reading is? There was the Odeon, the Canon & the ABC, but they're all shut now. Wokingham's Ritz has gone as well. Oh the memories...

I tend to go to the cinema on Friday & Saturday nights, which is probably why I get a lot of grief

TheAnimus - Do you live in Reading then?

mookboy - cheers, I'll add the mention :thumb:

I saw it on Friday, and I thought it was great :D though the ending sort of lost the humour that made the rest so good (then again, it had to really...can't really have a zombie film with a hilarious ending, it would be hard to pull it off).

Really liked the zombie killing to Queen and the girl in the garden bit....'awwwww look, she wants to give you a hug!!!! Errr...hang on love!'

Er, yes - yes we have... :eyebrow: :p :D

Mind you, it wasn't just Spaced - there was most of the peeps from Black Books. Dunno what happened to Manny / Bilbo (Bill Baily) though.

saw it this eve. Generally enjoyed it but it wasnt as good as id hoped, i guess id built it up too much what with my love of Spaced....

took a little long to get going tho :|

Still some great moments, especially the dart bit ;)

i spotted tyres immeadiately, but the second time he was on the screen with his back to us, was it me or did he have dark hair as opposed to nasty peroxide blonde?

Right at the end of the film, when Shaun and Liz are watching TV, someone on the TV says "...claims that the outbreak was caused by monkeys carrying the Rage virus have been discovered to be bullsh...(change channel)" - something along those lines...

That was the only 28 days later reference I noticed anyway...

Get the soundtrack. It's blumming ace clart. Like a long mix tape with LOADS of clips from the film thrown in. Theres some lush tunes there too.

Acceptable alternatives are, of course, Skill and Mint.

What of course is Skill, Mint, Lush or any other word that describes utter brilliance is the fact you can now pre-order the DVD at play! :thumb:

I've ordered mine. Consider it your duty to order one as well. :D
