    Sweet paint job! :thumb:

Colors make it obvious it's for a wife or other female companion though ;)

    Thanks everyone...
Neogenesis - When I first started painting cases I followed the tutorial on PC-Workshop . I've since tweaked that a bit to suit my own style, but still follow the basic steps. I used all Rustoleum paint on this case, automotive primer, metallic spray and clear enamel. I'd say there's about 4-6 coats of paint and the same for the clear. Hard to say because I re-coat several times during the painting process and I paint an entire panel in 1 or 2 evenings (including the clear). I use 220/400/600 grit wet/dry for the prep work and 1000/1500/2000 (still looking for 3000 grit) for the finish sanding. Then it's 3m fine cut rubbing compund (which equals ~5000 grit), Meguiars #9 swirl remover (polish/cleaner), Meguiars #7 show car glaze (polish) and a whole lot of elbow grease.

BTW - How come nobody asked what happened to the floppy drive opening ;)

    Excellent work.

Wish I had that much patience when spraying things, I usually end with some random insect deciding that the thing I've just sprayed is the best place on the planet for him to sit and have a rest lol.

very very nice, one question tho.
why do such a good paint job inside and have what seems to be a lighted fan, and no window?
other than that, very nice job.

Damn, that is shiney wish mine was like that. In that first pic it looks like the top of the case is invisible to the desk behind it.
