    Bah gawd!!!

Have owned and played every TW game and some awesome mods... hell I even played Barbarian Invasion.

I've put off buying Dragon Age 2 because I will be playing Shogun 2 until the wee small hours.

As a footnote, with the debate about the status of PC gaming, The Creative Assembly are one of the best things to happen for PC gamers in the last decade... so buy their games!

I hope my new system will play it nicely too. TW games are resource hogs.

I also hope the siege system is fixed. It's been universally crap since the start.

You got a pimpin rig there so I wouldn't worry about it.

Not sure whether to get this one now or wait for the demo on Tuesday. It's only £23.96 for the Steam version at Direct2drive!

I've only played Rome: Total War, I imagine the mechanics haven't changed much? I really liked Rome, might pick this up :)

I'm in a similar position. However, a co-op option against the AI could well be the deal maker, or breaker, for me..

Map of Japan does not look too big, larger campain maps are always more fun.

Yeah I thought this too. I'm sure when I played through Rome the map was massive. It would take me ages to get just to Italy!

Really looking forward to this, can't wait.

Just got an email about a free play event at Gamerbase, but sadly they neglected to mention the time and date... Assuming it's before the final release date, could be a nice opportunity to try before you buy. Don't go stealing my computer! :D
