Well, some of my videos, a lot actually, play upside down, and are screwed up, like pixled sometimes, along with green overtone. I fixed this problem once along time ago, but I recently reformatted, I've got a tun of codecs: Real player, windows media player 9, Win amp, Xvid, DivX, and Kscodecv. Dose anyone know how to solve this problem of seemingly missing codecs?
get ffdshow ... does xvid and divx, and lets you fix the video flip problem. its a side effect of having too many codec for divx iirc ... beware of super codec packs ... all most people need is ffdshow & a dvd codec ...
ah, ok thanks all get that now. Edit- Ok, I got it, and checked the flip video box, but no dice, its still upside down, do you think uninstalling my other codecs, then reinstalling just divX and ffdshow would work? Would make sence if what you say it true, that I have too many codecs. Or is there some other setting in ffdshow that could help me here?
He's absolutely right, matey However, dont let that stop u from getting Codec packs every so often - you never know when u might need an 'obscure' file to play a video I recommend the K-Lite one - it has a selectable installer so u can install only what u want to. Plus it has a FAQ that tells u what codecs have problems running with other ones....
Humm..I have K-light, I'll check out that faq, because thats where I'm having the flipped video problem for the most part.. actually thats the only place I'm having the problem, I just took out a vid file that was upside down in k-light, and played it in win-amp, right side up. Strange, thanks for the tips and help guys.
