Graphics Should I buy now or wait?

    hi im looking at buyin a ati 5870 but should i wait for the new femis to come out as the prices for the 5870s may come down?

    imo it would be silly to buy now with fermi supposedly a week or so away, worst case is the 5870 stays at the same price, best case is the 5870 drops in price or an nvidia card offers better performance for the same price.

    It really would be madness to buy a 5870 right now. There is a realistic chance that they will be £50 cheaper in a week.

    just bought my 5870 last week, it's not madness to buy now if the price is right. and i bought it for £234, no matter how competitive the price war are, 5870 going below £230 won't happen on this side of christmas.

    if you can't find such a good deal however, it's wise to wait and see what sort of pricing Fermi will stir up.

    for the sake those who are still looking to buy a card, i hope to be made to eat my own words.
