Hello, I'll be modding my first computer soon. All I'm going to do is cut in to one side for a window. Looking at it now, It seems kinda complex. Add to that that I've never used a dremel before and you can see where I am. Should I pick up some scrap aluminum and practice or should I send the side to be cut?

Also, I'm trying to figure out how to get the the pic I want to use on to the side. I'd rather not free hand becuase my art skills = 0. :duh:

    Heres a mock up.

I think you should pick up some scrap metal and practice practice practice, and if you don't think your capable of making the design, have it cut professionally. That way you'll gain some valuable skills but don't have to risk screwing up your mod if you don't think you can do it.

yeah, practice first. it looks like you could do it with a jigsaw if you planned your cuts out well
i'd also suggest seeing if you can buy replacement panels for your case so you can always try again if you stuff up really bad

What case are you looking to mod?

and id just say practice until you are confident that you can do it on the real thing. If not then you can find somewhere you can get it cut, but that will cost quite a bit tbh.

If your going to pay to get it watercut, make it worth it and throw a ton of detail in :)
