Hi all I'm Luís from Portugal and belong to a portuguese modding team: moda'a'foca - Elite Tuga Modding Team Raiden is the other member. I will now introduce the concept. The ideia is construct 2 showtables, cases to show material send by sponsors, like wc parts, coolers etc... They will be of course by scratch I hope use them in a modding contest next month (XL Party), or at least show them They hope have something like 6000 visitant or more, so it will be a good oportunity to show some hardware and job I will post both projects in this same thread. Purple is the Chicla Edition (chicla is chewing gum in portuguese) and White/Red is Blood O+ Edition Renders Chicla render and now BO+ Because all hardware is visible i will use cable clip in red and black. Feets will have 3mm neoprene to minor all the vibration, height distribution and not slide in table if someone by mistake push them or fall. Hope you like them
27-11-2010 progress I will now post images of the actual progress Today at night i hope have new photos of both of them Purple material INOX standoffs 20mm Main part it's 3mm yeah heavy but this way i know that even a 5kg PSU will not bend the case A4 sheet to show the size of the table now, BO+ time They share the same type of Standoff, both m3 screw A little size comparision The family together Hope tonight i have more news of these babys
What? the 1st to reply? hohoho. Nice concept there. 1 question tho..why do u need such long standoffs?
aye very intresting concept, think the stand off may be used to keep things like the mobo straight and level
I use long because i don't like the look of 10mm in a big case like this. And when i test 20mm was perfect Thanks Yes, that standoff are from the motherboard, but only from it. 20mm are good in look but bad because if I error a bit, in 20mm the error will be more. I hope too, and i pray from not have a single error in modeling new photos Templates off HDD and 5,25 holes i print and use. Make them on me EeePc and Solidworks Only progress on BO+ Sorry photo quality, i take them late, using artificial light, camera don't is good in the dark More 10/12 holes plus open m3 "nut" on the main frame and cut the holes management and BO+ after sanding will be prepared for painting i've already test board and fits perfect HDD too, i just don´t test 5,25" drive yet Now that i have use and tested the templates, the Chicla case will be more easy and fast Maybe tomorrow i will be able to make more progress, rain outside don't help
I will use P-clip like this: Coldzero is a shop in my country, only photo i found of that P-clips tipe, Or i will use like this: That aquatuning sell. Drill+ M3 screw or glued, in thinking in after see if they serve the propouse, paint them in purple and red I've already do some holes to do cable management, Satas, etc...
That's it! Very unique design! #Portuguese mode on# Eu também posto aqui, como tu... Vou acompanhar aqui também. Abraço. #Portuguese mode off#
Hehe always think first, build after Thanks #Portuguese# Obrigado Tenho visto o teu quando posso, tá muito bom mesmo #PT off# Hehe actually that's spanish In Portuguese it is "Agrada-me o ferro" or "Gosto do ferro" (ferro = steel)
Hi all, GODDD! long time now updating this, blame on me, but they're personal projects and come later on schedule So news for the Chicla version: Will be first made a Nvidia color version, asked for a friend that is nvidia fan Photos and render Photo Teaser of the actual progress: Everything handcrafted, and yes, that steel have 3mm!! A lot of hours of cutting, drilling, thinking, filling, filling, more cutting, and even prepare it for the powder coating Hope you all like it, and blame on me again for no update it for long time university plus site and modding team take me a lot of time hehe And i will make a video showing the specifications and more details of it, so i don't have to edit photos will ballons and stuff
Hi all, Here i come with photos of the Ikari-N version on the XL Party Oporto 2011, the 2nd edition of this year of the biggest lan party on Portugal, were this little baby finished at 2nd place on the modding contest I will put a lot of photos, but will not comment between them because i'll do a final video after showing all the details of the casemod, it's better for me and for you. To final photos, i've to do a little acrylic to the front and re-do 1 piece of the PCI support Photos Almost in the end, hope you like this version and hope you're enjoying the showtable
Find 2 photos on the 2TB HDD while organizing it, and remember to share here, The project was ended at July 2011, but still one of the most troublesome hand filling i had in mine life, damm that 3mm steel.
