    Woohoo, my first post :D

    Hey all,

first off im a newb to all this!

I need some help with a shuttle case. I want to put everything out of my PC case into a shuttle, so i can take it to friends and Lan events etc. At the moment i have a Coolermaster (Wave) case, 1GB Corsair xms, Asus SK8V mobo, AMD 64 FX - 51, Geforce FX 5950 ultra 256mb, 480w PSU, 7.1 audigy 2 sound card. I was wondering if i could slap all that into a shuttle case?

I have no idea what im looking for (but i want a window in my shuttle and a good design =D), i heard that you can only have the max of a 300w psu in a shuttle, dont have a clue if thats true or not =/

Any links or info will be very helpfull, thanks all!

Shuttle doesn't make a SFF motherboard with a 940-pin socket. You're kinda SOL for that. One of the other manufacturers (Biostar?) makes one, I believe, but don't quote me on that.

Good luck finding one, AMD was phasing out the 940 for the 939, excepting Opterons.

    Hi

    Shuttles come with the following:

    Case/Motherboard/PSU

So you won't need any of them from your old system. The psu it comes with is generally 250w in size and will run even the most stacked shuttle system.

In the amd 64bit line there is only 2 socket 759 and 1 socket 939 barebones units so you will need a new cpu too by the look of it :(

    Socket 754, man. ;)

If you can find a mATX motherboard with socket 940, you may be able to put it into an Antec Aria, which will be pretty much the best alternative at this point.
