Project breezy just a quick mod tonight to my shuttle. born mainly out of a need for more ventilation at lan matches. anyway here are the pics. opinions pls.
how did you make the holes? I bet it works good, i dont really know if i like it that much.. But very good work
didnt half cut up my fingers tho trying to hammer the sheet metal into shape such is the pain of modding the holes come precut in the metal sheet. was a flat piece about 1m x 30cm that i folded into shape. still have the original case just in case and it keeps my warranty intact
it is remind me of my shoes (never wore those pair for age as too cold) mine is adidas climacool nice one, how about the lights grow thought the holes?
quick update. due to your opinions and those of other i decided to change it a bit and i think it looks a bit better. now i just need a small cold cathode or 2.
I must have missed all the "paint it black" posts, but it does go better with the front of the case... I did see quite a number of "light it up" posts - change it again hmmm... light it up and spin it - instant LAN disco
Thats awsome. A very functional mod that looks good to boot. You could always paint the CD-ROM drive case and get black cables (or use electrical tape/shrink wrap/mesh). Then get a nice colored CC... Mmmm... Sexy....
That's the nicest lookin' modded shuttle I've seen. Wow. I especially like the front graphic. What about removing those fan grills in the back though?
I suppose, just an idea maybe you could put plastic just in certain sections like above the ROM, wouldn't want to spill anything on it
put gore-tex on the underside of the holey metal that will keep the water out, look cool, keep the dust out, and allow it to breathe
