Im looking at getting a shuttle, but am undecided whether to go for 939 or 754, a 939 is expensive, ands does not feature its main advantage pci-express in shuttles?

Is there scope to overclock the 754 in a shuttel, either SK83G or SN85G4v3.

Would prefer the cheaper SK83g, although ocing would be advantageous.

Also any idea on good ram etc, for ocing these?

Aside from obvious details like sockets, the 939 variant supports dual channel DDR RAM and uses a lower power consumtion Winchseter core; it also overclocks like crazy :naughty:

PCI Express is just now coming out on shuttle systems for AMD, so you can now do that as well. The performance difference between a 939 and 754 shuttle can be fairly large; go with what means more to you; performance and new high tech features or performance and older technology that costs less and is only slightly behind in the performance loop most of the time.
