I need a water block similar to this one:

Except I need the block a little larger than the one above, preferably, 3"x2.125"x2" so that I can use it as a cold block for my Peltier setup.
I asked Danger den for one based on their Maze3 just with side posts and they refused to help me.

I want to place a TEC on both sides of this cold block and mount two waterblocks on top the TEC on either side.

    Thanks for the help! :thumb:

Maze 4 GPU block? maybe a bit small but can take a 40mm TEC

I am sorry, I cannot mount a TEC on both sides of the Maze GPU block. Thanks for the help though!

    Build Your Own Waterblock
I was just given this link. I guess I will settle for this for now. :waah:

Any other ideas, please post! :)

If your going to build your own you need to go to procooling. There is loads of info there.

Ahh i see what you mean now (was a little confused at first)

You want a block to go in the middle of a pelt sandwich to act as a chiller?

Imo the best way would be to just make one. You could look at some old 2nd hand gpu blocks that had copper top and bottom but they are stupidly hard to come across nowerdays. building one would be pretty easy.

but surely even with say 80watt pelts on either side of a block it would need exceptional cooling

    /........still confused :sigh:

Well yes it will do. Thats the whole big problem with pelt based chillers. He is going to need more than 2 80w pelts to even keep the water at ambiant

Say he uses 2 of these things with 2x 220w pelts on each he basicly has to have enough radiator capacity to cool 4 220w TECs + his cpu + heat losses in the tubing etc. which is atleast 4 2x120mmrads (more like 6-8 for good temps)

It will work but you need soo many TECs for even a single CPU that it makes it practicly impossible to make it work well.

First, I am looking for a side exit cooler, that (yes slatter) will be sandwiched between two peltiers. Ok, ready for me to really blow your mind? :naughty:

    Fuel Rail Cooling With Peltiers

It works, I can cool my fuel rails 10C (off normal outside temps) with a single 226W Peltier. Problem is, I cannot seem to get below that, I think adding a second 226W unit will help.
I have 50 amps available to cool with, my alternator is very efficient and the engine produces excessive amounts of torque at low RPMs.

I am sorry for posting here, but I cannot find any forums about what I do (I am the first as far as I know). You computer guys are truly the most advanced peltier/water people on the planet. I use computer parts, so please do not post anything about how I should leave the forum or how I am off topic. Learn from what I do and maybe we can help each other.

Phew. You got me worried there. :D For a car (big alternator and even bigger radiator) it makes kinda sense, but I thought you were talking about a computer, and thought: "another example of trying to apply sheer power without calculated understanding..." A lot of grand PC watercooling designs suffer from being overly ambitious, complicated setups that in reality don't work any better than a simple, well-thought out setup.

I got a dual 2800 Athlon MP with a Radeon 9800Pro thrown in running on a single BIX with a low-noise 68 CFM Panaflo. Processors idle at 31C. Zalman passive Heatsink on the NB: runs at 25C.

For a PC you don't need a massive cooling array. Unless you aim to overclock by at least 25% --in which case you can just buy a Vapochill: simple, compact, does the job nicely. Power is nothing without calculated application. :thumb:

But as I was writing the above, you posted it was for a car, so that's my rant out the window... :D
