Ok , this is not really Bit-Tech stuff, but it contains a question about modding .... I was so happy today when my brand new Siemens S45 finally came in , and i could go pic it up I am very happy with it , its wayyyyyyy better then my old Nokia 3110 but this dosnt have anything to do with my question I had the phone for 6 hours , it was in my pocket for a couple of hours , and i took it out , and the plastic in front of the lcd , was all scratched !!!!! I was going crazy , it was brand new , and the front was already scratched all over , I can still see everything , but it bothers me .. i had my nokia 3110 for 2 years , and there never was a cratch on the plastic in front of the lcd ... and i treated it quit roughly .... now i couldnt go back to the shop as it was already closed , but i'm going first thing in the morning though but , is there anyone out there with the same problem ? I putted some .. stiching plastic on it (like the stuff you use to do around books (it sticks on ...) and well .. that helps a little .. but that isnt a good way out ... i think.. so maybe someone modded this already ? maybe replaced the plastic with something better ? better plastic ? ... whatever ? like its not THAT bad .. but i was shocked as i just had it a day , and i didnt do anything wrong with it ... there was probebly just some change in my pocket ... and they could have warned me when I bought it ... ****** hope there is someone out there with the same problem ...
I suck with mobiles.... my list Vodafone MN 1 - Lost it Nokia 5110 - best phone ever, died when it got full of condernsation from a bottle of drink in my pocket. Nokia 3210 - left it on either a: the diesel pump or b: the roof of the car. Nokia 3310 - vibrated off me boat into the water.. still want to find out who phoned me.... grrr... And now Nokia 8201 pooest phone ever... been back 2 for screen and 2 for battery problems.... I hate mobiles...
