Hey i'm not complaining about the noise, its way quieter than it was before.

But it isn't silent and i think people who are thinking of buying this gear should know that.

It makes a BIG difference to the noise level of your fans/psu but it does NOT make your pc slilent.

Thats EXACTALLY what i was trying to say, but couldnt spit it out.. :) I feel zalman marketing it as a silent HSF is a crock.. yeah, its quiet, but its still twice as loud as my alpha...

as long as your rear exhaust fan is shifting air and you have a good flow of air through the case then the HS Fan can be turned low...
otherwise the heat bilds up near the base of the heatsink... which is bad... mmm'kay

Anyhow, speed adjustable fans or temp controlled one would be handy, two rear case fans on a slow speed should do the trick as long as the intake fans are turned a little higher..

i have been playing around with the setup and now i want to replace the 60mm Zalman fan with a 80mm emermax speed adjustble fan.

the blades look very raked, and are clear! i'll gt temps before and after... and post pics (small compressed jpegs)  :D

dont get the "slim" fan adapter from OCZ (ocsystems.com) thats the one I used with a 40-53cfm adjustable fan.. not as good as the stock 60mm :(

Ice Holes are nice if you dont have an 80mm HSF to start with, they glow big time! :D
