Hi thanks, i really like the AC RYan blackfire.

Today i continued with the cables, i had to shorten some, so that they fit my needs.

    [IMG] [IMG]

I also cut some mesh for the fan hole. After measuring the space i have, i´ve seen that i have to use an 80mm FAN :duh:. I have layed one on the top, to show where it will be installed (then under the mesh of course ;) )

Nothing too big, i know. I will continue next weekend, propably.

Here i have the sketches of the finished Power Supply. I had a hour free time so i sat down to draw how i imagine the finished psu. In reality the logo will sit a bit higher though. I will finish it this weekend, hopefully. The corners of the logo are not perfect, but i think it gives a good preview of the finished product.

What do you use to cut out the letters, a fret saw?

Hey guys, here comes the first Update for this weekend.
I worked on and finished the OCZ Letters for the PSU. First i printed the logo in different sizes and cut the most fitting one out. Then i roughly cut the letters out of my 3mm Alu. Afterthat came filing and much of it. With the polishing the work on the letters was complete. The last task was to glue them on the PSU. On the last pictures can you see how it will look with the psu installed.
The Cables for ATX etc. are still far to long, and iam thinking of cutting of the cables for PCI-E graphic cards completely.

    Well here are the pics.

Thanks guys. Looking back i can say it was a lot of work, but it was worth it ^^

Thanks Alan, they look cool and are quite cheap, i think one of them will go in the psu. And if it looks good, i´ll maybe order 2 für the sides.

The OCZ is so pretty, I could almost picture it hanging from thick gold chains for some gansta-geek bling. ;P

    Hehe thanks :thumb:

So today i tried to do what i has planned. But right away after the beginning, ive seen that my alu sheet is not big enogh for it :duh: . So i had to remove the ... well i call it "wings" at the sides. I will mount the case with alu-angles, which are mountet inside the cage so that they wont be seen.

After that change in plans i could start.

Here is the too small sheet and an old, broken dummy drive.

Nothing interesting here, just cutting and filing the alu.

It seems like some corners were unexpectedly sharp

After the filing and the first aid ^^ came the most difficult part. The bending. I have no special tool or anything for bending so i had to improve. I just want to say it again, the hdd was broken before that, and if not, it is now ^^.

For bending i needed a big hammer...

    ..... i said BIG hammer.

Ah thats more like it ;)

And here is the result. I just want to say, that the 3mm alu was really hard to bend.

    [IMG] [IMG]

And here is where it will sit in the Case

    [IMG] [IMG]

Tomorrow i will propely brush the surface and make the letters. The alu angles will be bought next week, so i hope to finish the case at the next weekend.

    Untill tomorrow. Stay tuned
