Yes it is, but it was only used to show the size of the fan and where it will be mounted ( und the mesh of course)

    Hi guys,
after a longer break i can present you a new update.
Last week some new parts arrived a new alu sheet (0,5mm thick), an alu profile (10x10x1000mm) and some polishing cloths, i want to test if they work better than old t-shirts ^^.

I started with drilling holes in the six edges of the case. No big thing.

    [IMG] [IMG]

The hard part started here, how should i bend the top? I needed something long and hard (loool, dont think the wrong thing guys, this is a clean forum)
I looked through our cellar and found.....

    ... a can with joung peas ^^

    [IMG] [IMG]

Not to bad for a can with peas:
    [IMG] [IMG]

    And its fitting well too.

The Gap over the front plate will be closed with a small coverplate.

    Thats it for today :thumb:

holy crap beautiful bending job! you bend that thing really long and hard! :wallbash: sorry....

perfect fit! that was risky but it proved to work out great for you.

This is one of my top 3 favorite mods to follow btw

    Update 11. Feb

Hey Alan, yes it feels good to be back ^^

hotton you want it.... you get it ;-)

I had some plans for a Mainboardcover for a while now and yesterday i build a little Prototype
    [IMG] [IMG]

The Material will be A.C.Ryans Mesh panels.
    [IMG] [IMG]

Today i started cutting the panel and bending it into shape
    [IMG] [IMG]

And this is what it looks like at the moment.
    [IMG] [IMG]

Tomorrow comes filing the edges, i see hours of fun and joy coming :geek:

    Thanks man,
and the second part for today

    [IMG] [IMG]

I hope you can recognise everything, i dont really know how to explain it :worried:

I wanted some different in height and not just only a flat area, so i worked a lillte bit with a hammer on it.

Next thing will be some playing around wirh paint and of course drilling the hole for the CPU cooler.

Nice work, as always.:D I like the grid pattern of bends on the top. Are you going to do something with the exposed edges on the mesh?

Hmmm i only now rubber u channels as thick monsters, i thought about the smaller, thinner version like the ones Bill sales at mnpc tech. I want tu put them all around the mainboard cover.
