    Are there any really quiet pumps that you guys like to use? I'm defenitely going for a silent system and am looking for suggestions for good pumps to use....

    as well as where I could buy a radiator. :p

    And how big of a radiator do I need? I've seen '80MM' ones and then I've seen ones that have room for two 120MM fans on each side. How big of one do I need for the most efficient cooling and how do I set up the fans? Both sides blowing in, both sides blowing out, or both going one way?

    IE

    ->[RAD]-> or <-[RAD]<-

    <-[RAD]->

    ->[RAD]<-

    I think the C-systems pump is compact and quiet. I don't remember the reviews right now but I'm sure you can find one.

    As for a rad...for a quiet set up go for a larger rad.
    That will give you more surface area to cool more efficiently.
    Then you can use 2 120mm fans on 7 or 5v.
    Should be very quiet. Sort of depends on the manufacturer as well.
    Panaflo are good and quiet.

    You really shouldn't need a push/pull configuration as I don't think there is much benefit. There are all sorts of arguments about whether fans should be pushing or pulling air through the rad.
    My opinion is that pulling is better.
    Don't take my word for it. Read some of the great posts and articles around here.

    EDIT: Try Danger Den or here for buying a rad. I'm sure there are other places though.

    There's also people in canada who can ship you a rad, that will take either 1/2 or 3/8 tubing, such as me. I have a 2x120 MM heatercore - all you have to do is paint it up, and believe me, this thing is huge. You could get away with using a single 120mm fan at 5V on it. As yo your configurations, never have both fans pushing into or pulling out of the rad at the same time. that will result in null airflow

    For low noise you should try and find a thin radiator as these suit low speed fans better than thicker rads.

    For example a black ice pro may be a better choice then a black ice extreme

    Go as big as you can but keep it thin ;)

    Well my computer is (hopefully) going to be about 9 inches in length so I'd like to keep it around there, or smaller if possible. :p

    In that case, just use a single 120mm or 80mm rad on the exhaust or intake and a single pump.

    Oh as far as the Danger Den stuff goes, what's the difference between the RDX and TDX blocks?

    TDX is the successor to the RBX, abandonning it's massively restricting microchannel ideals, going more with a design that emphasizes feedint hte core with water, then easily moving it out. the tdx's flow restriction is MUCH lower than that of the RBX, but you lose the second barb. Along with that, the TDX outperforms the RBX, so why bother even going with it anymore?

    So basically TDX is far superior.

    Oh, one last questoin about DD (for now) - what's the difference between their silver and copper versions? I mean, why such the HUGE price difference (percentage-wise). Is silver really THAT much more efficient? Has anybody used both and noticed a significant temperature change?

    It's probably about 2-3c better temps.

    Silver isn't that much more effecient... it's that much more EXPENSIVE. You don't find copper rings at the jewellers do you?

    TDX is basically just the RBX with a two-barb design. I've heard mixed results from it being compared to the RBX but you definately need less tubing and that's a plus in my books.

    I'd say the C-systems pump for quietness, Dtek customs sells them, not sure where else. It says 8dB(A) in the specs, haven't used one myself to verify that but it IS on my list (along with one of Dtek's heatercores).

    My planned setup is a C-systems pump, dtek heatercore, polarflo blocks, and either an aquatube or critcool waterplant res (ordered the AT, have the waterplant, not sure which is going in which system).
