Excellent review , I agree the heatsink looks small but each heatsink have many thin fins to improve dissipation, I like also because is not modular , was better if made with the single rail configuration

Beware of Silver Power's psu's! We get Silver Power's various psu's alot at work (Komplett's returns department), and they've got a nasty habit of blowing up in your face. We get alot of them, and they're all pretty much the same. Some arent as loud as some others and some are worse.
They might be good when they're working, but they're a nightmare when they work. Do not buy!

Interesting! How do they blow up? Which models exactly?

I've got no idea what the models are called, if they have any name at all, but we get their 500, 600 and 850w psu's. Usually 2 or so per day, but sometimes more and sometimes less.
Their blowing up quite dramatic, compared to others (that I've seen). There's usually one loud bang and then a few quiet ones, while there's sparks flying, or something else that's really bright, around inside the psu. It's not uncommon that the protective cover (really no idea what the case is called) gets electrified and shocks you when you try to switch it off. A guy got a quite powerful shock from one, and got some burns on his hands when he were shutting one off.
If there's anything else you're wondering, you're welcome to send me a pm instead ;)

    Greetings all.

These comments made by Jokkocze are very odd, as compared to the amount of system builders who purchase SilverPower from us, we have had no complaints on quality of these power supplies and a returns rate of less than 1%.

Jokkocze has stated that the 500, 600 and 850w psu’s all fail, however the new series of SilverPower have only been on sale for the past month. The comments given do appear to be a direct attack to tarnish the brand name.

I can assure all readers who have a SilverPower psu or those whom are planning to buy a SilverPower that they have nothing to worry about, these are high quality products as you will see from previous & future reviews.
