Hey Just looking at this picture and trying to work out what the two 80mm fans are at the bottom of this case. Failing that does anyone know what the two best 80MM fans for this type of set-up would be, the graphics cards would be rear venting GTX570'S in my case. Many Thanks Sam
How about the Scythe Kama Flow2 80mm they will do 40cfm airflow. http://www.quietpc.com/gb-en-gbp/products/80mmfans/kama-flow2-80-2900
Ye I't looks gorgeous it's custom built by origin got the picture from here. http://www.maximumpc.com/article/reviews/origin_chronos_review
Dont mean to hijack your thread but does anyone know if Silverstone plans on bringing out a full ATX version of this case? Im thinking of getting the FT03 because it is simply the most gorgeous case on the market in my opinion but would prefer it slightly larger (to aid cooling, bigger board etc)
I don't blame you. It's a great looking case but it's substantially bigger than I expected it to be. I built my folks a system in one and going from a Shuttle to this was quite a shock! Can't comment on heat dispersal though, they are running a Radeon 5450 and a Pentium E5500! Although I would say that the stock fans do seem to shift a fair bit of air, but I installed resistors to slow them down for silence.
Actually that's good to hear (for me anyway).... So you're saying the case would cool adequately with say a mATX GeneZ/Gen3, twin GTX580s?
I'm not quite saying that, the HD5450 is a passively cooled card that draws ~20W under load, whereas I'm guessing a pair of 580s will draw in excess of 500W at full load. It's one of the better mATX cooling cases for a single GPU but I think a more creative approach is be required to tame a pair of 580s... as you can see from the OP's picture. The build I did in this case was geared toward silence, with passive GPU/CPU heatsinks cooled by the three stock fans spinning at about 40% of their standard speed, so I'm not really an expert on massive heat dispersal!
Slightly off topic, but I couldnt see the point of a new thread). If any FT03 owners wish to free up two USB3 mobo ports AND rid themselves of the two thick blue USB cables at the top of their case, this little beauty should do the job. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/silv...-ft02-rv02-ps02ps04-sg03sg04sg05sg07-gd04gd05 It should connect onto your mobo internal usb3 headers and be much tidier in the process.. I have ordered one but wont be able to confirm it (as I have no internal USB 3 connectors!!!!!!!!!Doh)
Saw one of these cases at the lan i was just at (i44), case was open and 2 fans pointed into the case to keep it cool.
