Just seen photos of this Silverstone case and was like http://www.silverstonetek.com/raven/rv01.php Review: http://www.istorya.net/forums/fine-upgrades/128873-raven-rv01-casing-by-silverstone.html Makes me think of sumthing like this:
there's a movie on youtube with then disasembling it, have a search not my cup of tea though, to big and bleh
Thanks Denis just had a look. Here is the link if any one wants a perv. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWcq0w3xGdE
Honestly i dont like the look of that case. just looks umm Square. But it has sum nice parts on it. Just found that Bittech have got info on it here: http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2008/06/04/silverstone-presents-the-raven-case/1
The original topic case is quite nice-looking, maybe a bit plasticy. The Voodoo Omen is quite nice - I'd be tempted to poach that rotated board idea if I ever made a case. Looks like a pretty good idea really tbh.
silverstone seems to be going plastic on us. the case reminds me of the hp blackbird. (nice case BTW) the voodoo omen's hdd bays are awesome
Yeh if it was alloy and not plastic it would be even sweeter. Like how thay are trying new things with turning the mother board tray round.
I like the silverstone kublai case.. probably the best looking imo- these types of cases like the raven attract the dingles lol cases are so expensive nowdays.. most are the exact same case they made 3 years ago for $10 but they put different faces on em =p
i have to agree with you on that, except for the '$10' part, aluminium sheeting is freakishly expensive. my friend always complains that computers have looked the same since forever.
why can't silverstone stick to making silverstones, and lian-li stick to making lian-lis, and leave the overstyled plastic crap to thermaltake.
yeah guess metal prices are high.. but what's funny to me is- the cases that sold for 10 dollars on tiger 3 years back are the exact same cases that sell for 50 bucks nowdays with some plastic face.. with the cost of these things, your better off fabricating one yourself
Classic stuff. I can't blame them from trying something new, but that's just a little too far away from the clean, tasteful stuff we usually like to see from Silverstone. Without the side-panels, and made of alloy, that'd be an epic case imo.
