Hey guys, So I've been a long time member here, and 3 weeks ago I decided to build a Website and Discord Sim racing community, and have 120+ members and growing so far. I'm looking in recruiting PC Sim racers for the following games; Project Cars2 RaceRoom Racing Experience Assetto Corsa Assetto Corsa Competizione Dirt Rally As well as any other upcoming Sim racing games that come to market. We have dedicated servers, to ensure the best performance for open lobby fun and closed Championships. So come and Sign up, and be apart of our ever growing community. Website: https://redlinemotorsport.co.uk Discord group invite: https://discord.gg/xSMTTxq Any questions, then feel free to ask. Regards, Simon.
I'll sign up some time soon I think, would quite like to do a bit of multiplayer racing. Need to wait for the next steam sale to get pCars2
Same, just been having a nose not sure I am a fan of discord, just new to me, I'm sure its fine when you know what you are doing.
If you guys want proper simulation, then RaceRoom is the game to get, the base game is free, but I can get every content for £51. Which is a bargain considering the game size, which you'd pay 3 times the amount with all the DLC of other games. On top of that, R3E (RaceRoom Racing Experience) will be updated to Unreal 4 engine like the new Assetto Corsa Competizione when it's released. So their plans for the game, is to keep it going as a long term investment like iRacing, but without the subscription. @sandys Discord is great, as it's a forum, and teamspeak in one, allowing me to create roles, and keep my channel tidy, by only giving people roles of the games they play, as without those roles, you're limited to what you can see. Simon.
@Sentinel-R1 You could always race with a game pad... Not as fun, but people are quicker on a pad compared to a wheel and pedals.
I've got the wheel, pedals, shifter and gt omega cockpit sat in the garage, but not the room for it. Gotta love military housing, not. I couldn't play on a pad knowing full well what awaits me in the garage. In the last house, I turned the third bedroom into a games room, so it was easy. We're now down to a 2 bed so space is very much at a premium. I might look at getting the foldable gt omega wheel stand, then at least I can fold it away between use and keep the cockpit for the next move.
This will make you laugh... my garage is 300m away from my house... and has no power... not even a light. Like I said, love military housing, not.
Nothing special but I sorted my lad out with a very budget driving setup just to check that it wasn't a flash in the pan affair. Bagged a cheap (and as far as I can tell virtually unused) xbox 360 wheel, £22, he already has a usb wireless adaptor, and he has been having lots of fun using it, apart from dead zone issues I have been impressed with it. Wheel1 by CrapBag posted 21 Sep 2018 at 22:31 He is determined to get a G29 now as his ambitions have been fueled lol. We had the same wheel a quite a few years back but he was very young and the force feedback nearly flipped him across the room lol.
if only i have time id sign up. :/ got everything virtually ready to go, you guys have a quakenet chat room?

Well we're really taking off in the sim racing genre. Almost up to 500 members in 4 months of running.
Now I've got myself a half decent PC I'm going to give RaceRoom a go. Will make a change from Forza/PC2 on Xbone. I've recently upgraded the springs in my T3PA pedals and finding them so much better. Just need a TH8A shifter and VR headset now (although the wife keeps ignoring me when I point out it's my birthday soon )
Awesome! - RaceRoom and iRacing are proper sim racing platforms. PC2 is a driving game more than a Sim Racer. It's like it's you vs the car vs the track, where RaceRoom you feel connected with the car, so it's you the car, vs the track. Anyway, there is still a great offer on RaceRoom to buy all the content for £40 - which is a bargain since you're buying the game and 30+ DLC's. I love VR, but I wish he had higher resolution HMD, still looks pretty, but looking to the horizon is blurry. But nothing comes close to the immersion of VR. It will blow you away.
