    Update....24.2.2010

Yeah, flaslight makes the yellow look brighter, allthought i'm not sure what colour i will use.

I wanna give some 60's truck look in this side and for the front.

Making fender for the another side:

Bended sheet of metal in right shape, used bare hands for that:

Used bended sheet for marking lines for the cuts:

    Cutted, and attached with tig:

Welded the joint and cutted fender with corner grinder in right shape:

Attached fender in the side with other little parts:

^ I'm going to use some putty to make smoother lines, this side is intented to look little different than other side.

^ Did some shaping with putty, allthought front isn't fully finished.

    Thanks for watching:thumb:

    Update 2.3.2010

Thanks for the comments mates. :thumb:

This is going to be cover for the headlights:

Attached little part with tig, you cab see the joint inside :

Shaped with corner grinder one little part more, and welded:

Here you can see where its going to be placed:

Interior parts for the headlights will be acryl, allthought it needs one another ring to be attached before polishing.

Here's the right side of the case after painting, noticed that it still needs some spot putty before final painting.

"Lights" maybe looks little weird, but i decided to use same "theme" in backlights too, so it should look "something" when the case is finished and acrylic parts done.

    Thanks for watching. :)

That spike in the headlight looks evil. I imagine it will rip your pants every time you walk by.

That spike will be shaped later. :)

Update later on today, supposed to be a really good update, but i forgot to take my camera with me, so pictures will be taken with phone. :(

As an excuse i'll say that my life seems to be so happy atm that thinking anything else instead of my wife seems to be really hard. :D

    Update 3.3.2010

Sorry for the picture quality, taken with phone. :(

First i added one ring more for the headlight frame, other parts for the headlights will be made using acryl.

Then i started to continue with the fenders.
Bended the sheet of metal in desired curve and cutted in right shape:

Welded little stripe to make it neater and stiffer:

Shaped the other part and attached it with tig:

After welding i cutted it in desired shape, as allways used tig-welder for welding:

Marked lines for cutting and bending:

    Cutted with corner grinder:

    Bended:

And grinded in right shape with flap disc:

    Welded to fender:

Here it is. Metal parts will be polished to mirror:

The metallic fender part is attached to bottom frame part, so when tilting the case it doesn't move with the other case.

Thought that it might be cool feature.

This side is going to be the front side of the car, other side supposed to be shaped like rear, thought that it might be cool feature too. :D

    Overall view so far:

Thanks for watching, and i'm really sorry about the picture quality, but the main thing is that the project is going forward. :)

Spikes...those just keep coming somewhere, i can't help it. Maybe it has something to do with my teenage years... punk...needles...weird looking clothes. :D

I will shape that spike off, ill twist it. Twisting should fit well with the 50's theme. :)

Pretty awesome on the metal work! I know it is real crappy tryin to take pics inside a fabrication shop, the lighting jus sucks. Your jus one of the people that people need to talk to who are interested into getting into shaping with metal.

I vote for dark green although I think it really wouldn't suit that shape.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciate it. :)

@Javerh. I really should think about that. :thumb:

Supposed to do loads of stuff yesterday, but hadn't much time.

Bended a sheet of metal, cutted a curve and welded little stripe in it:

    Inside:

Attached to side panel with tiny welds:

Welded a plate in the end:

And there it was what i managed to do yesterday, i hope i get more done today.

    Thanks for watching. :)

Nothing simple about this mod. :) I can't believe you are free-forming those pieces. Amazing work. I have to cast my vote for red...go faster red!
