Very cool project, I like your metal work.

 

Grew up as a panelbeater in my dad's body shop. You are absolutely amazing, I WILL be watching this.

No need to tell, that i managed to forget my camera again?

So i took pictures with phone, a crappy one.


First i cutted a simple piece of steel, welded it to the frame:



Attached a 15mm wide stripes (is that a right word?):



One side done, then did anonother side:



Marked cutting and bending lines:



Cutted with corner grinder, i use 1mm thick cutting discs, those are very accurate.



Bended:



Cutted the sides in the right height(5mm), its easier to make bends in bigger parts. Then i welded it to the right place:




^I had to make four parts to make desired shaped dvd cage, because "my" bending brake sucks... but i won't complain, usefull tool in most parts.

 

Amazing job, you are like many many people have said extremely talented. Can`t wait for more pics.

Hmm.. Yep, you might be right. Needs to make the roof first, and think again. Idea was good anyway.

I planned to place two 120mm fans to the back panel...

^Allmost like that.. Hard to say it in english, but i'll try.. distribution head, a couple of wheels and the middle of them are fans, and the traces around it. Got it?

 

Welded the main frame together yesterday, pictures coming later today.

Seems that the case is going to be red...with white leather interiors?

Did you know is only 3000hp, and is the meteor engine, which is the lightweight tank engine developed from the merlin engine for are tanks. Also has a bus rear axle, and a special torque converter that hooks it to a jag gearbox.

Marked the lines for cutting, bending and drilling:

These will be attached to the top, under the hood, other end will be attached with "hinges" to the case to ease up assembling.

Yesterday i welded the main frame together, and did some ponding today:





I will make final smoothening after i have finished the roof, then i need to do mirrors to the sides, mb tray etc.

Loads of things to do before its finished.

Those hdd holders will be polished to mirror, i'm trying to make them hdd's hot swappaple too, but more of that coming later.

Now i have hinges for the hdd-cages. I also did some shaping to get them little lighter:
