you should put a coat of silver between the primer and the blue. I think it will make it look even more like the transparent blue
actually jbowles, i did try that, the only difference between 3 and 4 is that one has a chrome layer under it, and as you can tell there is really no difference. now, as some of you said before, 1 does replicate the bawls color very well, but 2 is a bit more appealing and different. you can see how difficult this choice will be, but i still have quite a bit of work to do before paint time so i suppose i should test some more. Also, what would you all think about using one on the case chasis and one on the plastic?? Thanks
I prefer number one. I like this case mod because those bumps with leds are new idea, at least for me. No need for expensive premodded parts but new use thingys which doesn't relate to computers any way.
Ok, it's been a long time since my last update but i have been busy. On with the show: So, I got back from california and my leds had arrived! Thanks to jerb111 for the link to the ebay store Here they are 100 of em: And 100 resistors for a 12v power source: Now I had to wire em all up. No small task for someone with minimal soldering skillz. Basically I had to wire a resistor to each one. Also, I cut a small section of rubber out of each wire so I didn't have to solder more, just turn the wire and hook the led in. I'll let the pics do the talking. So basiacally I just did that 10 times This gave me a bit of a scare. There I was minding my own buisness soldering and I see this guy crawling around A quick bang with a rubber mallet took care of him, our exterminator was scheduled that week hehe. Ok, now onto the money shots! The camera exagerated the light a tad, and some are a lil outta focus but you can get the general idea Needless to say I am very happy with the results, just about finished with this side panel Hopefully I can beat out another update sooner rather than later, thats all for now.
Hahaha, I wanna see a modded spider. Put a window in it and use some uv cathodes and make his blood light up in the uv light.
Looks great, but I think it would look even better if you managed to light the text up even more, to match the intensity of the actual balls/bawls Great work though!
