Im looking for a game to pass my time..
Some type of simulation game where you have to run a city or some kind of establishment. Something recent would be nice.

I used to play this game where you had a toy factory and you had to build machines i think and a railway for transport ect.

Any help with finding a fun game would be awesome!

    Thank guys

Age of Empires would be your best bet. Or Simcity.

    flash game or installed game?

if installed game, any of the tycoon series would work.

Flash game, there are several simcity flash ports on the web

SimCity 3000 is about as good as the SimCity franchise got before being 'simplified' in SimCity 4. If you want a bigger challenge, and a managing a living city at a grander scale, try Caesar 3.

SimCity 4 is simplified? : / Never played 3000, only 2000 (or 2, whichever it was called).

Tycoon games are good, although the best ones are a bit old

Sim Golf is ridiculously addictive IMO, great game, railroads is alright, but Transport Tycoon is better.

Theres also an upcoming Hospital Tycoon, which looks like an awesome new version of Theme Hospital.

That was a wordy choice of a descriptor. It wasn't dumbed down in any respect, but the ultimate control over the city has faded when going from 3000 to 4. I also didn't find all of the additional features and improvements to rectify the gameplay change, though. It's just my view on it since I've played SimCity 3000 for many years, whereas SimCity 4 only enjoyed a few days of play.

This is going to sound really sad, but I sometimes quite enjoy playing on Mackoy's BVE simulator... :worried:

Seconded, a remake of this game would rock. I loved the idea that you were in control of the evil lair and had control over minions etc.

If you liked dungeon keeper you might like Evil Genius, very fun game IMO, very similar to DK but you're an evil genius in control of a volacano base :)

After just buying both games via Steam yesterday, I highly recommend X2: The Threat and X3: Reunion. Essentially, these games are EVE Online, offline. These are space sims that require a somewhat high level of thought to keep up with--it gets quite immersive quickly. If you're looking for a challenge that Caesar III did not satisfy, look at the X franchise.

Can't be bothered finding a link (sorry) but Railroad Tycoon 4 or something like that is on sale at Play.com for £2.99 delivered.
